Editing subtitles in Wisecut is simple and allows you to quickly adjust your video’s transcript and captions.
Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Open your project
After creating your project and waiting for the processing to finish, open the video you want to edit.

Step 2: Click the pencil icon

In the Clips tab, find the clip you want to edit and click the pencil icon. This will open the editing view for that clip.

Step 3: Open the subtitle editor

Inside the editor, click on the “Edit video & text” button (as shown in the second image). This will give you access to the transcript and subtitle controls.

Step 4: Edit the subtitles
You will now see the full transcript of your video on the left side.
To edit the subtitles, you can:

  • Click on any word or sentence
  • Type to correct or modify the text
  • Delete words or entire sentences using the trash icon

Any changes you make will automatically update the corresponding part of the video. Deleting text will also remove that segment from the video.

As shown in the fourth image, any change you make to the text will automatically update the corresponding part of the video.

Important:

If you delete a word or an entire sentence, the corresponding video segment will also be removed. This allows you to easily cut parts of your video just by editing the text.

Step 5: Review and export

Once you're done editing, review your video and click Export to download your final version with updated subtitles.

That’s it! You can quickly refine both your subtitles and your video using Wisecut’s text-based editing.
